Requirements:
MINIMUM EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Requires two years of experience in customer service-related field.
- Requires two years of experience in cash drawer balancing.
- Marketing experience is a plus.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees the market on designated dates and times.
- Inspects the building, sets up tables and chairs for the market, and ensures adequate cleaning supplies and equipment are available.
- Greets vendors, enforces vendor rules, professionally and courteously manages complaints and questions with vendors or customers, and recruits new vendors.
- Collects money from vendors and gives receipts to each vendor. Turns in funds to the Recreation Department to match receipts issued to vendors.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Maintains financial records and submits financial status to the Farmer's Market Board and Greenwood County Recreation Department.
- Advertising of the market.
- Attends meeting/training for the farmer's market-USDA Dept. of Agriculture.
Schedule:
Works seven hours on Wednesdays and seven hours on Saturdays from Mid-May to Mid-October.
