Wages/Salary: $21,484.00 - $39,754.00 Annually
A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Operates motorized equipment such as bush-hog, mo-trim in clearing grass and small trees from
highway right-of-way. Operates slope mower with buzz bar attachment in limbing operations.
Performs emergency repairs and running ajustments to equipment as needed. Completes
necessary paper work and enters that information into HMMS Program. Acts as crew leader in the
absence of foreman. Operates a standard and five yard dump truck to haul signs, equipment and
materials to and from the job sites. Operates 8 yard dump truck to pull trailers. Operates chain
saws in clearing right-of-way by hand. Sets up work zone for mowing operations. Flags traffic
using sign board and/or flag to direct traffic safely around and workers and equipment. Performs
miscellaneous related duties as required. Assists the supervisor ensuring pre-trip inspections are
performed correctly.
