Requirements:

A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of work experience that involved the independent performance of job duties directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (NOTE): This position requires a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Diagnoses and makes repairs, routine and major, to gasoline powered engines includingautomobiles, pickups and equipment including chain saws, rollers, tractors, and mower. Makes repairs including engine overhauls, electrical systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and brake systems (air and hydraulic). Diagnoses and repairs diesel powered equipment to include motorgraders, backhoes, loaders, roller, AMZ machines, tractors, and mowing equipments. Repairs diesel engines to include cooling system, fuel system, transmissions, rear ends, hydraulics systems, gear box, steering, engines, drive trains, PTO and other various types of repairs. Performs preventive maintenance as required. Performs welding and fabrication as needed for repairs to all equipment. Performs emergency repairs to all
equipment that have failures on roadways or construction projects. Performs safety and preventive maintenance on all DOT vehicles and equipment. Performs other duties as required.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
