Requirements:

The HR Assistant must be competent with Microsoft Office and have the ability to work harmoniously with a wide variety of employees.

The HR Assistant must be able to bend, crouch and stretch for extensive filing responsibilities. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and will perform duties that require continually computer interaction and use.

One year of related experience is preferred.

Job Description:

The HR Assistant works with a wide variety of data and communication within the HR Department and serves as a customer service liaison for HR.

Duties:

Maintains files for ease of retrieval and service.
Develops and maintains a variety of reports, as requested.
Exhibits competencies in Microsoft Office software programs and other HR related software programs.
Maintains the employee database and accurately inputs appropriate changes, including wage/salary changes.
Prepares monthly cards for employee birthdays and anniversary dates.
Maintains data base in FileMaker Pro software.
Ensures that all employee credentials are current. Verifies licenses/certification upon hire and upon renewal. Maintains and continually updates license data base for all clinical licensed practitioners that work for the hospital on a regular, PRN or contract basis
Maintains tracking of all secondary certifications such as ACLS, BLS, CPR, etc and notifies manager if credential coming up for renewal.
Maintains HR bulletin boards.
Maintains adequate office supply inventories.
Provides monthly HR update and reports for the Director of Human Resources.
Identifies and seeks opportunities to provide back up and support to HR staff in all areas of the department, including the completion of priority and time sensitive projects. Accepts and completes other projects as assigned.
Maintains employee personnel, education and employee health files in a current, confidential and appropriate manner. All documents are filed within 14 days of receipt.

Schedule:
Preferred schedule - Friday, 8:30 - 5:00 p.m. - (but can be flexible)
