Job Description:

Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for the position of Planning Manager located at our Greenwood, SC plant. This is an exciting opportunity to experience a new plant start-up for a world-class manufacturing company.

The Planning Manager oversees the Global Manufacturing Production plan-of-record, budget / LE volume planning process, inventory level recommendations, and product sourcing matrix. This role leads the master production planning with the objective of maximizing customer service and achieving working capital objectives at the lowest Total Delivered Cost. Effective communication with internal customers (such as Sales and Marketing) to maintain appropriate service levels is critical to the overall supply chain effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
Manage and counsel on manufacturing scheduling, product sourcing activities, warehouse/delivery and order taking operations
Develop monthly global production volume plan-of-record to align inventory and customer service objectives. Facilitate global budgets, volume planning, inventory flow and levels with operations and finance.
Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics, and external business partners to drive operational efficiencies, execute supply network strategies and achieve key performance indicators on a daily basis
Develop & align global replenishment and sourcing strategies to balance supply and demand at the lowest total delivered cost
Monitor forward looking global SKU stock coverage optimization, inventory glide-path projections, and global month-end finished goods inventory reporting (units and pounds)
Review monthly / weekly volume supply and demand forecasts after confirming with demand planning. Adjust finished goods & brown bag production plans to align with sales, finance, manufacturing budget objectives
Support supply network optimization studies to determine optimal capacity placement / expansion and product sourcing strategies
Facilitate monthly Supply Chain review conference calls to align plant schedules with customer service key performance indicators
Expected Areas of Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to use decision-making processes and judgment by using advanced optimization tools as SAP, APO, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint
Broad business knowledge and strong understanding of Supply Chain systems
Broad business knowledge of manufacturing, product deployment, logistics, warehouse operations and financial reporting.
Effective interpersonal skills, both oral and written communication abilities
Ability to lead and manage multiple priorities and stressful situations effectively
Strong planning and organizational abilities
