Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Manages and coordinates all procurement processes in District 2.  Acts as District Liaison for cardholders in District Office.  Acts as point of contact for District 2 for questions regarding procurement procedures and purchasing card projects.  Audits field records to ensure that the correct procurement methods are being used and ensures standardization of procurement by field buyers to include: formatting of information to be included on purchase orders, and description consistency on purchase orders.  Manages District Construction invoices for Engineer/Consultant Inspection (E/CI) and Critical Path Method (CPM).  Manages purchase orders for District Maintenance Contract activities.  Inventories District Office supplies.  Prepares purchase orders for office supplies.  Also checks materials on invoices when delivered to ensure correctness.  Assists DEA with budgeting process for supplies and equipment.  Performs duties of receptionist to District Office.  Assists in distribution of District Mail.  Assists with timekeeping accuracy to ensure all employees have entered and approved time prior to deadline.  Notary Public for District Office.  Types correspondence and  various reports for District Construction Engineer and District Mechanical Engineer.  Checks that format, spelling, punctuation and grammar are correct.  Keeps updated records for permits on computer.  Maintains filing system for construction projects, correspondence and reports.  Assists with the Final Closeout of District 2 Construction Projects and maintains active and inactive Construction docket records.  Coordinates District 2 Procurement training ensuring that employees have received the required training as buyers, cardholders or liaisons in District 2.  Procures required commodities with cost effectiveness and efficiency.  Prepares written quotes.  Works with sale representatives and SCDOT team members on commodities used by District Office.  Assists in negotiating service contracts,  Coordinates District Annual Procurement review.  Gathers records from an eight county area (Maintenance and Construction).  Collates and distributes the citations from the reviewer to the county units reviewed, collates and returns the cardholder comments to reviewer, and coordinates follow-up training.  Performs other related duties as assigned.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
