A bachelor's degree and extensive experince in all facets of broadcasting video production with the ability to script, direct, and edit (liner and non-liner). Knowledge of new technologies and their media applications. The ability to travel with some evening and weekend work. The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clints and the public. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
Produces weekly reports for News and Public Affairs programming. Serves as on-air
talent for News and Public Affairs programs, special events coverage and other ETV
productions. Produces programs within approved budget and assigned resources.
Retains and advances technical skills required to complete project productions in a
competitive, rapidly changing broadcast environment. Serves as back-up host for
weekly "The Big Picture" program. Support weekly program in all facets, including
reporting, editing, writing and research. Designs, supervises and/or executes
programs or program segments, often complex in nature and scope, including but not
limited to, variable format programs, documentaries and special events coverage.
Supervises and directs personnel involved in the technical aspects of producing
segments. Produces segments from concept to completion. This position will require
some travel. Incumbent will work with broadcast equipment such as cameras,
tripods and lighting equipment. May be required to cover hazardous weather
conditions and work in emergency situations.
