Requirements:

A high school diploma and six (6) years of progressively responsible field experience in geodetic surveying or related area; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.

Job Description:

Performs plant inspection and monitors production and testing procedures to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Notes and reports any deficiencies found during plant visits. Serves as District Asphalt Manager in their absences. Works with contractor's Level III QC Manager to resolve any mix production problems. Verifies pay factor sheets and forwards all paperwork to RCE for preparing estimates. Maintains project records for asphalt production. Reviews daily asphalt plant reports for accuracy and completeness. Reviews all paperwork to identify trends and developing problems with mix production. Picks up verification and referee samples as necessary and maintains a record of the results. Assists construction offices with compiling asphalt test results and reports. Researches contracts for the determination of applicable specifications. Assists in training Engineering Technicians as asphalt plant inspectors. Performs inspections of roadway construction to ensure that the construction is in accordance to the plans, standards specifications, and special provisions.

Schedule:
FTE - Full-Time, Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
