Job Description:

Service Technician (ST) is our multi-skilled maintenance technician at the BATO Aiken OR facility. At present, all of our technicians are working with engineering on the installation and start-up of equipment in the new plant. The Service Technicians will eventually be divided up into three groups.

? The breakdown repair group will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment in the plant on a 24 hour basis. When problems arise involving the manufacturing equipment, the Service Technician on shift will troubleshoot and repair the system as quickly as possible to maximize production up-time.
? The PM group will perform periodic scheduled preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
? We will also utilize the Japanese concept of Kaizen (continuous improvement) to modify our equipment to maximize efficiency/minimize breakdowns by working with engineering to implement these improvements. This will be the Kaizen group.

We expect to place all of our Service Technicians in positions doing one of the three aforementioned facets of our maintenance department. These positions will periodically be rotated so that everyone has the opportunity to learn each facet of our maintenance organization. Bridgestone/Firestone recognizes the significance of the contributions that our Service Technicians can make and therefore does not limit them in what they can do. At times, Service Technicians will be called upon to complete tasks normally performed by engineering.

This position will report to a Maintenance Crew Leader.
