Wages/Salary: The state salary range is $17,310.00 to $32,027.00; annually. The agency hiring range minimum is $21,519.00 and the maximum is $32,027.00.

Requirements:

You will need to have a 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations; a valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License. This position requires a valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified
applicants with a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

You will need to assist in replacement and erection of all required signs according to M.U.T.C.D. for streets and bridges on all State-maintained roads in Newberry County; place and erect detour and road closure signs; assist in HMMS entry and all required paperwork tracking sign installation and maintenance as per the business plan and night time deficiency plan goals, including maintenance of clean and orderly sign storage room; train to operate 5 yard and tandem dump trucks hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs other related duties as required for normal daily operations including flagging, workzone setup and take
down, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operation, and tree removal; perform other related duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice, and equipment operation including plow, loader, or spreader, requiring right-of-way debris removal.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00.
