Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class A Commercial Driver?s License (CDL). Note: This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver?s License. However, applicants without a Class A Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class A Commercial Driver?s License are available. Class A Commercial Driver?s License must be attained within six (6) of placement in the position.
May be required to work overtime, nighttime, and/or weekends during hazardous
weather or emergencies.

Job Description:

Train to install signs and delineators on rights-of-way in Lexington County. Redirect bent signs and replace sign posts as needed. Daily maintain accurate records on issued signs. Assist in setting up traffic control for road closures and maintenance operations in accordance with the South Carolina Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Operate sign truck and trailer in hauling signs, cones, and barricades to and from job site. Perform and maintain records of preventive maintenance on equipment. Assist in unloading signs and placing signs in proper
bins. Remove debris from roads and properly dispose of dead animals. Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor. Train to operate 5-yard dump truck to assist during emergencies and hazardous weather conditions.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
