Requirements:

A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A"
Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However,
applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified
applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Operates combination front-end loader and backhoe to clean out drainage ditches and to install
sideline and crossline pipes. Operates tandem dump truck in hauling maintenance and
construction materials including concrete pipes, asphalt, dirt, and coquina. Operates the Jet
Vac system to flush dirt and debris from pipes and other drainage systems. Operates gradall
for cleaning ditches and performing other excavation work including full depth patching,
installation and repair of storm drains. Operates fork lift in loading and unloading maintenance
and construction materials and supplies. Sets up traffic control according to SCMUTCD
standards to warn motorist of road work ahead.
