Required skills in anesthesia, radiography techniques, basic mathematical calculations, fluid therapy, phlebotomy, catheter placement, surgical assistance and medical terminology. Must have ability to perform gentle animal restraint and have patience with aggressive animals. Require basic computer literacy, as all of our medical records are electronic. Must have a understanding of critical patient care and animal husbandry skills with strong client and staff communication skills. Need the ability to assess patient condition; initiate medical intervention in emergency patients; as well as critical thinking and problem solving skills.

South Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care (Columbia, SC) is seeking skilled FT and PT Veterinary Technicians. Shifts will include nights, weekends, and holidays. We have a state-of-the-art facility and are AAHA accredited. Must have a high school diploma and 2 years veterinary experience, be self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and pay close attention to detail.
