A bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in information technology; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

Job Description:

Builds and updates web pages for internet and Intranet sites, using HTML 5, Cascading Style Sheets, jQuery, Javascript, XML, XSL and other accepted design standards. Edits HTML and scripting language source code with tools such as Dreamweaver and Sharepoint Designer. Develops web sites to be compatible with a wide variety of mobile devices, including, but not limited to: Ipad, Iphone, Android phones and tablets, and Windows Phones and tablets. Designs
graphics and attractive layouts for SCDOT web sites using Photoshop, Illustrator and
Dreamweaver. Assists other offices by determining the most effective information architecture
and design styles for Intranet sites. Consults with web applications staff to improve design and usability of ASP.net applications. Manages Quality Control for SCDOT.org using SiteImprove to minimize broken links, spelling errors, grammar mistakes, and missing graphics and files. Assists with customizing Sharepoint Web Parts to provide a better user experience on Sharepoint Web Sites. Serves as Project Manager for small projects. Talks with stakeholders to set project scope, timeliness, asses risk, and establish communication channels. Ensures customer understands their responsibilities to deliver needed content in a timely manner.
Coordinates with other web staff for needed assistance. Delivers projects on time. Develops and maintains Map based sites using Google Maps and Google's proprietary KML language. Utilizes location based data from mobile devices to provide user relevant information for their current location. Ensures pages comply with federal section 508 accessibility standards. Performs other
related duties as required.

Schedule:
Temporary - Full-Time NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
