Yon Family Farms is a large seedstock (Angus, SimAngus, Ultrablack) cattle/forage operation, specializing in the production of herd bulls sold primarily into the commercial cow/calf sector. There is also a small feedlot where steers are developed for local beef sales. Hay, small grains, corn, and pecans are also grown and harvested on the farm.
Yon Family Farms, located in Ridge Spring, SC, is seeking a cattle herdsman to assist with cow/calf production duties, including, but not limited to, reproductive management, (AI and ET are utilized on the farm) herd health procedures, data collection from birth to marketing, forage/grazing management, cattle ration preparation and feeding, and routine daily herd checks.
