experience; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and four (4) years of entry-level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.

Job Description:

Serves as Assistant Resident Maintenance Engineer in a county maintenance office. Plans and schedules a course of action, coordinating with the Resident Maintenance Foreman, and inspecting work being performed by maintenance crews. Completes all required DHEC and EPA reports for storm water runoff, hazardous waste management, SARA reports, SWPPP, and SPCC plans for Greenwood Maintenance facility. Receives and investigates complaints and requests for service from public officials, law enforcement, and general public. Manages crews performing routine and non-routine repairs to roadways within the county. Makes recommendations for corrections to existing roadway concerns. Acts as rating officer on EPMS. Prepares maintenance
contracts for bid. Coordinates with maintenance foreman during hazardous weather,
emergency, and snow and ice conditions. Ensures that proper procedures are followed in order that response times are held to a minimum. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
