Maintenance Mechanic

The Greenwood Housing Authority (GHA) is accepting applications for a residential apartment maintenance person. The minimum requirements for this job are the ability to be bonded, pass a SLED/FBI criminal background check, pass a pre-employment drug test and physical, have a high school diploma or GED, have a valid SC driver’s license with a good driving record and have a good knowledge of general apartment/residential unit maintenance. Applicants should have proven and verifiable skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. HVAC experience with a current refrigerant recovery certification is desirable but not required. Applicant must be able to promptly respond to emergency calls on nights and weekends when on-call. This position is under the South Carolina State health and pension programs.
