Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Required: 4+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 3 years relevant experience; OR Relevant associates degree + 1 year relevant experience

• Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 4 years relevant experience; OR Relevant assoc. degree + 2 years relevant experience

• Knowledge of 3D coordinate systems, metrology, and data processing

• Training in the following: AUKOM 1, AUKOM 2, Pi-Web, CALIGO, Siemens NX (CAD), SMARAGD and scanning software (may include Eagle Eye 2, PC-Dmis, and/or Polyworks software packages

• Able to perform the essential functions of the job

Job Description:

Operate and maintain CMM and other measurement tools as needed. Perform dimensional layouts to ensure audit schedule and quality dimensional requirements are being met. Monitor and maintain measurement results. Complete advanced measurement programs, perform advanced troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
• Follow all plant safety rules and policies

• Understands and promotes the integrity code. The Common Guiding Principles at Daimler.

• Conducts routine and non-routine inspections

• Conduct layout inspections on product, fixtures, or gages as required by the audit schedule

• Identify the source of routine and complex errors. Perform more complex troubleshooting analysis

• Prepare and maintain CMM programs and reports from the layout inspections

• Review and report any discrepancies from the reports to group leader

• Minimize downtown by proactively setting up next job runs; Unload and store fixtures in appropriate place after job runs

• Maintain efficiency %

• Follow 5S principles and maintain good housekeeping

• Complete complex measurement and check programs.

• Performs the operational inspection planning, including the scope of the inspection, and select test equipment and devices

• Suggests improvements to existing methods and procedures

• Completes and ensures availability of appropriate documentation related to the production process

• Participates regularly in scheduled team meetings

• Perform other duties as required
