Job Description:

Job responsibilities may include:

Drive the implementation of the Eaton Lean Six Sigma program and the Eaton Quality System program to improve productivity, reduce costs, improve quality, and meet mandated EBS goals. Provide a broad knowledge of professional engineering support to manufacturing operations. Provide project management responsibilities for the documentation and execution of major projects and assignments within the manufacturing and engineering functions; provide other coordination and technical guidance to production personnel as appropriate.
1. Help Develop ELS/EQS strategy, define actions, and coordinate cross functional activities to implement an Eaton Best Practice Lean System to Continuously look for and identify Business Improvement Initiatives that support Eaton?s Corporate Vision and Goals
2. Provide Off site and On Site Training sessions.
3. Perform the necessary audits of the plants? operations to evaluate opportunities for implementation of various ELS and EQS improvement initiatives
4. Advice and counsel plant management members on developing and implementing improvement strategies.
5. Continuously enhance personal skills and knowledge of the subject matters pertaining to the operations initiatives, through networking, education, training and participation in internal / external conferences
6. Benchmark other plants for best in class processes and suggests implementation opportunities, and implement the best practices if applicable.
7. Create an environment where change is appreciated and pursued by looking at the structure and culture of the organization.
8. Utilize Eaton Lean and quality tools to drive cost reduction and improve working capital performance.
9. Facilitate Lean/Quality Meetings to ensure proper project and resource selection. Identify barriers and work with management to ensure successful completion of projects
10. Work through leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps. Provide Eaton Lean System and Quality system support across the plant to drive short-term business improvements.
11. Utilize Eaton Lean and quality tools to drive cost reduction and improve working capital performance. Facilitate Lean Council meetings and support corporate Lean initiatives and reporting requirements.
12. Create a project hopper for six sigma projects. Ensure proper belt selection and belt training.
13. Ensure completion of six sigma projects
