Required Education and Experience
?Associate?s degree (A.A.) in a related area preferred; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
?A minimum of 3 years of Quality, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering experience required; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
?Communication skills, written and oral.
?Effective problem solving skills.
Essential Functions
?Supervisor Quality Assurance Staff
?Complete Layouts and testing on parts for PPAP, Problem Solving, etc.
?Establish, monitor and follow-up on required product testing as required by customer, internal, and benchmarking requirements, to assure product/design intent, function, and integrity.
?Ongoing testing of parts (Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.)
?Assist with creating, updating and maintaining Quality Documentation, Customer Contact Reports, Customer Sort Reports, Information Relating to Concerns, Procedures, etc.
?Participate in cross functional teams in the pursuit of problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems.
?Interface with customer representative concerning non-conforming material/disposition, along with appropriate internal/external supplier problem analysis and corrective action activities (8D, etc.)
?Assist with preparation and participation for customer surveys resulting in desired approvals
?Develop visual standard system criteria for use in manufacturing operations
?Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
?Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary.
?Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
?Track and report quality metrics; analyze quality data to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes or proposed changes.
?Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement.
?Verify processes running within documented process parameters.
?Verify process using correct material and document lot traceability.
?Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
?Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
?Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
?Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
?Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company?s policies and applicable laws.
?Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices.
?Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
This is a Full-time position
7:30 a.m. ? 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, core work hours.
Flexible hours to be available
Must be available to work weekends when requested from Supervisor.
Travel
Minimal Travel is expected for this position.
