HYDRAULIC SHOP FOREMAN

We are looking for a Hydraulic Shop Foreman who will lead our growing shop floor all while still working side by side with their team.

Responsibilities

  1. Effectively and efficiently run shop floor.  
  2. Lead, train and develop shop floor
  3. Communicates with team members to help diagnose and repair heavy equipment
  4. Troubleshoot, rebuild, and repairs hydraulic components on heavy equipment
  5. Provide a high level of communication with shop employees and office manager
  6. Perform diagnostic testing of components.
  7. Organize and prioritize workloads for mechanics
  8. Perform quality control checks before parts are shipped.
  9. Develop and improve shop operations, decrease down time, and implement/enforce efficient work processes
  10. Ensure all floor personnel complies with rules and company policies.
  11. Always promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
  12. Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. 

Required Qualifications

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  1. Proven strong and successful supervisory skills
  2. Proven mechanical and electrical skills with demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of equipment, including electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. 
  3. Superior judgment and decision-making skills
  4. Strong motivational, coaching and leadership skills
  5. Capacity to be highly confidential, discreet, and tactful
  6. Ability to lead, manage multiple tasks and work in an effective and positive manner
  7. Excellent time management and organization skills
  8. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors
  9. Proficient computer skills:  Microsoft Office and ability to multi-task through different applications quickly

 

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; certificate, licenses. 
  3. 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor
  4. 3+ years’ experience maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
