Job Description:

Operates self-propelled stabilizer/recycler and soil stabilization units with maintenance reclamation operations utilizing proper techniques and alignment. Devises and implements schedule of work to be performed by maintenance crew including ditch work, slope mowing, limb trimming, patching in Greenwood County during the winter months or when reclamation activities have ceased due to breakdowns, or weather. Maintains records of all types, including labor, materials used, vehicle and equipment use for accurate charging to project codes.Supervises and ensures a safe work zone for maintenance crew, as in flagging operations, wearing of safety equipment, vehicle safety, or when working with hazardous material and waste. Schedules and supervises District 2 Reclamation Crew in the absence of the Trades Specialist V. Performs preventative maintenance such as cleaning filters, and changing recycler teeth on assigned equipment as outlined in equipment specifications.Conducts safety inspections on all assigned vehicles and equipment. Supervises the preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure routine maintenance schedule is followed and to monitor equipment use and wear to prolong equipment life. Performs diagnosis, teardown, repair,and/or replacement of drum teeth and holders. Work also includes fabrication and cleaning.Diagnosis and replaces vehicle on-board computers, sensors, and dash warning indicator components associated with the computer controlled crew equipment and vehicles. Performs other related job duties, including on call for after hour emergencies and snow/ice removal operations.
