Driving heavy construction machinery can be both fulfilling and lucrative. Piedmont Technical College and Tri-County Technical College have partnered to offer this 10-week Heavy Equipment Operator Training program featuring critical classroom instruction at PTC in Greenwood and hands-on equipment training at TCTC in Anderson County. Participants will be required to commute to TCTC after the week long training at PTC. Heavy Equipment Operator Level 1 plus Skid Steer, Hydraulic Excavator, Compaction Roller, Wheel Loader: Basic Construction Safety Orientation to the Trade Heavy Equipment Safety Identification of Heavy Equipment Basic Operational Techniques Utility Tractors Introduction to Earth Moving Grades, Part One Modules from Level 2 and 3 Level 2 Skid Steer and Wheel Loader Level 3 Hydraulic Excavators and Compaction Rollers. Prerequisites: 18 years old, valid driver's license, and WorkKeys with score of Bronze or higher.
