Required Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years’ professional experience in DBA or related field
  • Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SQL Server
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with programming languages
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically

Job Description:

​The Database Administrator will be responsible for providing a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users. This critical position is challenged to help us propel our sites to the next level.

  • Supports and maintains SQL Server database applications.
  • Conducts system tuning, performance monitoring and database maintenance.
  • Develops reports and custom requests for users.
  • Assists with application and user support when needed.
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
  • Perform test and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
  • Defining users and enabling data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
  • Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
  • Schedule and perform regular server maintenance
Schedule:
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
