EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
One to two-year certificate from college or technical school; 1-2 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions, technical data, and blueprints. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to measure parts using devices such as calipers, micrometers, height stands and a tape measure.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Description:

SUMMARY
Responsible for: quality, engineering and basic IT support for manufacturing, publishing company-wide quality information for awareness, calibration of inspection equipment, and documenting nonconformance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 Create In-process inspection documents and Visual Inspection Tools (VITs) for manufacturing processes.
 Program the automated CMMs.
 Create and revise Visual Work Instructions.
 Operate all quality measuring equipment.
 Assist in the design and building of fixtures to provide repeatability and efficiency in manufacturing.
 Assist personnel with basic IT issues.
 Publish Daily Performance and Daily Scrap reports.
 Update and publish the message board daily.
 Document nonconformance in Unipoint, on the message board, and in VWI part reviews.
 Prepare Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) for parts being returned from the customer.
 Request RMAs for parts being returned to vendors.
 Equipment calibrations and manage outsourced calibrations as required.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday. 40-48 hours per week. Flexible schedule options are available for current students interested in internships, apprenticeships, and part-time opportunities.
