Piedmont Technical College Foundation announces that Employee Giving Week shattered records

Thanks to the generosity of faculty and staff members at Piedmont Technical College (PTC), the recently concluded Employee Week of Giving exceeded expectations and shattered records.

According to the PTC Foundation, 113 employees made donations, a whopping 352% increase over last year. Their donations totaled $28,120, well above the goal of $15,000 and 381% more than last year’s total.

The money will be used to support PTC’s Student Emergency Fund, the area of greatest need, and Hope Pantry, which is dedicated to serving any student, faculty or staff member who faces basic needs insecurities.

“To say that I am completely in awe of your generosity and dedication is an understatement,” PTC Foundation Director Laura H. Dudley said. “What I have witnessed this past week is more than exceptional – it is what defines the heartbeat of a premier college, the heartbeat of Piedmont Technical College.

Dudley said the success of this year’s Employee Week of Giving is about much more than shattering records.

“It is about telling our students that they have the PTC Family supporting them both inside and outside the classroom, that we know life can be hard, but that we are here to help make the hard times a little easier, and that we will, with gracious hearts, give every student all the support that we can on their journey to become PTC alumni.
