When thinking of a career in business, it’s easy to picture a man or woman in a suit, carrying a briefcase on their way to a board meeting. And while that image is accurate, the career possibilities with a business degree or certificate are a lot broader than this point of view.
Goodwill Industries and Piedmont Technical College are expanding a highly successful partnership that trains certified nursing assistants. The program, which began in 2012 in Greenwood, is now also being offered in Laurens and Newberry.
A historic agreement, the Bearcat Bound Bridge Program is a dual admissions partnership between Lander and PTC. After a student is admitted into the Lander transfer track at Piedmont Tech, there is now a process in place that will usher them through the admissions process at Lander—guaranteeing admission to Lander University as long as transfer requirements are met by the student while at PTC.
