But getting face-to-face with hiring professionals can be a daunting task. And many may not realize that additional education and training can increase their employability and pay.
In recognition of more than a quarter century of service to the region and to the state of South Carolina, Piedmont Technical College recently announced that the Upstate Center for Manufacturing Excellence will be named in honor of the late Sen. Billy O'Dell.
Each year, Piedmont Technical College chooses some of its best and brightest to serve as Presidential Ambassadors. These students represent the college at campus functions, provide tours and speak about their experiences to potential students.

Karla Gilliam, respiratory care instructor at Piedmont Technical College, has been named the 2017 South Carolina Society of Respiratory Care (SCSRC) Education Practitioner of the Year.
